Dalsland was once one of Sweden’s most successful ironworking regions. Join Dalsland guide Kerstin Aronsson on an engaging day trip through four centuries of proud local history.
A full-day bus tour through the fascinating history of Dalsland. We begin on the shores of Lake Vänern, visiting the imaginative medieval ruins of Dalaborg. Borekulle dates back to the late Iron Age, while in the beautiful Brunnsparken in Dals Rostock, the nobility drank curative spring water at the turn of the last century. At Kroppefjällsparken, medical history was made. We also learn about the French princess who left her wedding china in Upperud, where the proud era of ironworks began in the 17th century.

- Experience art and heritage in Dals Rostock by visiting Kerstin Ljungqvist’s atmospheric studio in Brunnsparken and the historic spa town surroundings
- Enjoy hiking and wellness at Kroppefjäll along the classic Dr Saedén’s Route where the fresh air and stunning natural scenery take center stage
